What is Beacon?

The Beacon Community Network is a mission-driven nonprofit social enterprise that operates a collaborative safety network designed for downtown communities. By connecting businesses, nonprofits, service providers, and civic partners into a shared network, Beacon helps communities strengthen awareness, coordination, and support across the places they care about most. Launched in 2024 across downtown North Bay, more than 85 locations are now part of the Beacon Network demonstrating what’s possible when communities work together.
