Beacon is a shared safety and intelligence network built for downtown communities. It connects public and private cameras into a real-time system of monitoring, coordination, and care, turning individual security tools into shared civic infrastructure.
Launched in 2024 by Building Blocks, a North Bay-based organization focused on revitalizing downtowns, Beacon was created to meet the growing demand for smarter, more participatory safety system.
With over 75 beacons in downtown North Bay, Beacon is proving what’s possible when communities work together.
